The Capital Crescent Trail runs from Georgetown to Bethesda and eventually, it will follow the purple line over toward Silver Spring. I have ridden into work in DC on this trail many times. It is downhill into DC and a great morning ride.

While some people ride to work down Beach  Drive through Rock Creek Park, I prefer to ride there on the weekends. Rock Creek runs down from the Rockville area past the zoo to Georgetown. It is a breezy downhill ride into DC with lots of green space and creek sounds.
